“When I got a voicemail from my doctor telling me that I have a low grade cancer and HPV and needed to come in for more testing, I was scared, confused, shocked…Another feeling I had after hearing this news was a tad bit of gratitude. Unexpected, right? I’m realizing more how lucky I am to have access to a Pap [test] which is the only way I would have known about these health issues in the first place. This is not something I can feel or see or could have ever guessed was going on, had I not got a routine Pap. Now I believe this more than ever – it is so very important for *all* women to have access to these tests that are crucial for the well being of the female body.”
A Personal Experience with the Pap
Ginger’s very personal experience with the Pap test only reinforced how necessary it is for all people with a cervix to continue to have access to such an important and life saving test. Without the Pap, Ginger never would have known what was going on inside her own body!
