“Having a daughter and one on the way, I want to make sure I teach them to love and protect their body. I want to be the best role model I can for them about Women’s Health. Just like how my mom did for me! She served as a mentor when it came to being a strong, independent women all while taking charge of our own health. There is no better time than now to take back charge of our own health. It is important to have preventative care with your OB or midwife when it comes to the Pap test. Before the introduction of the Pap test, cervical cancer used to be the #1 cancer killer of women. Now it is #15. Make sure to check with your provider to see how often you should be getting the Pap test!”
Like Mother Like Daughter
Kelli’s health matters not only to her, but to her daughter and daughter-on-the-way! Kelli learned the importance of self-care – including the importance of the Pap test – from her own mom, and it’s a lesson she’ll pass on to the next generation of women in her family, too!
