As a Physician Associate & woman, I can not stress enough the importance of cervical cancer screenings. Regular screening through routine Pap tests can save lives. The sooner you’re able to detect any irregularities on your Pap Test, the sooner it can be treated. Cervical cancer used to be the leading cause of cancer-related deaths for women prior to the introduction of the Pap Test, now it’s #15. Through the Affordable Care Act we are able to access these services. It’s important that these services remain accessible for everyone. Let’s spread this awareness as more access means a chance for potential life-saving health treatment!
