“One of the scariest things about cervical cancer, …is that it is often asymptomatic – meaning you could have no noticeable symptoms at all. Although the number of cases and mortality are scary, it has decreased substantially over the past 40 years, largely due to screenings – the Pap test. But recent changes to the guidelines could eliminate the Pap, leaving thousands of women vulnerable to incomplete testing. We can’t let that happen.
If you haven’t had a Pap test in the last three to five years, you should be seen. When it is caught early, cervical cancer is often preventable and can be treated before becoming a problem. Take care of your body and show some love to yourself!”
