The first time I had a Pap was at age 29, a routine check during pregnancy. It came back irregular & scared the crap out of me…I ended up being okay, but it made me wonder why I was never routinely tested before. In fact, the only time I have received one is when I’m pregnant. It’s important to know that early detection can prevent cervical cancer. Cervical cancer used the be the #1 cancer related killer in women, but since the invention of the Pap test, it’s now #15.
