“My personal story: I had an abnormal Pap my junior year of college. I had to have a colposcopy and then had to wait a week to hear if these abnormal cells were cancerous. It was the longest week of my life. I’m thankful they were not. I’m also thankful to have had the screening available because I do have a history of cervical cancer in my family.
For the health of all women, the Pap and HPV tests should remain a part of a women’s routine wellness screening.”
