“One of the most shocking parts of the curriculum at Harvard Med was learning about cervical cancer, which used to be the #1 cancer killer of women. With the introduction of a screening method called a Pap test, cervical cancer is now the 15th cancer killer of women. Pap tests save lives. ✨ Why are we making this post? We believe that health is a human right and every women, regardless of their SEX and background should have access to screening measures, which can help detect cancer and ultimately, lead to enhanced patient outcomes.”
When cervical cancer came up in the curriculum at Harvard Medical School, twins Alisha and Natasha were shocked to learn that before the Pap, cervical cancer used to be the number one cancer killer of women. They are here to educate and advocate for the Pap to continue the fight against cervical cancer.
