“The whole experience and healing was very upsetting but at the end of the day the fact that they caught it was so amazing and I am so lucky. Unfortunately, I lost my aunt to cervical cancer when I was younger so all sorts of things ran through my head. She was so young and it should not have happened.
Cervical cancer is often asymptomatic until it reaches the later stages, so it is critical that routine Pap testing should be a part of every woman’s routine wellness screening.
For the health of everyone with a cervix, the Pap test should be a part of a routine wellness screening no matter what community they are a part of or what their income level happens to be.”
