I went to my OBGYN a few weeks ago for my routine Pap test and thankfully everything came back normal. It’s so important for us women to take our cervical health seriously and get tested regularly to catch any abnormalities early! A Pap test checks for cervical cancer cells and the sooner they’re detected the bigger the chance to treat it successfully! Many insurances, and the Affordable Care Act (ACA), cover a regular Pap test, so make sure you check with them. This should be part of every well woman exam and is normally covered 100%! Every woman has the right to get tested regularly! Before the introduction of the Pap test, cervical cancer was the number one cancer-related killer in women. It’s now number fifteen. #ProtectThePap
