As a woman going through daily unusual pains, it is hard to see how little women’s health is talked about and how some young girls don’t know about it. In the past two months, I’ve seen 3 different doctors to try to find out what is causing those pains in my lower abdomen. And each time, the first thing they asked me was “When was your last Pap test?” That’s how important Pap tests are. They can save your life by detecting precancerous and cancerous cells present in your cervix. It’s easy and very fast. Cervical cancer was the highest cancer-related killer of women. Now, with testing it’s #15. ALL WOMEN should have access to Pap tests that could potentially save their life and be able to use their voice in deciding on health guidelines that impact their bodies.
